Performing Reiki in a Hospital Room after Christmas
I want to share to all reiki practitioners my experience last December 26, 2025 when I visited a sick friend confined in a hospital in the Philippines.
He spent Christmas alone the hospital, no family or friends staying with him for they are away during the holidays and his mom was in the US. He has been confined due to throat inflammation and convulsion brought by the infection. I visited him midnight of 26th of December to check him and brought him some food. A nurse came to check his vitals and upon checking he still has fever (38 Centigrade). One of his arms is slightly enlarged because of the IV medications and it was slightly reddish in color. He told me that it was an adverse reaction of one of the IV medications he received.
After the nurse left inside the room, I asked him if I can do Reiki Therapy on him and explained to him briefly what Reiki is. For in the Philippines, many are not yet familiar or acquianted with Reiki. Most hospitals here are not yet open in integrating energy healing modalities such as Reiki compared to hospitals in other countries. Philippines being a Catholic country, they also claim that Reiki is an occult practice originating from evil. After our conversation, he agreed to have Reiki and I proceeded to facilitate it.
During the Reiju-Ho, I invoked angelic light beings to aid me facilitate Reiki. I prepared myself by Joshin Kokyu-Ho to center myself and focus on my intention. I let the DKM master symbol to be infused in my being to see the light and illumine me on which areas needs specific healing to speed up his recovery. I centered myself, removing any thoughts, egos and attachments so I could focus on giving Reiki efficiently to him.
I did Reiki psychic surgery and balancing of the energy flow of chakras. From my intuition, three chakras need to be focused more on healing on his condition which are: heart, throat and crown. For the reiki psychic surgery, the liver need more healing. He was asleep during the Reiki therapy, and it was a deep sleep for he even snored during the treatment. I did also Hawayo Takata's Nerve stroke from which I learned from my advanced reiki class, to clear his spine, remove the blockages on it and hoping that it could also diminish the fever.
After 15 to 20 minutes of Reiki, I woke him up and I asked him how did he feel during the treatment. He told me that he feels like he is travelling. First it was he was in a vast ocean with bluish waters, next in a forest greenery and last would be flying in a purplish Milky Way galaxy. I told him that I focused the healing on his throat, heart and head which corresponds to their respective chakra colors which he has seen on the places during the healing. I told him also that I focused healing his liver. He was surprised that after telling that, he told me that he had a weak liver ever since he was a kid and he did not tell anyone about it and only his family know about his liver condition.
I utilized all Reiki symbols during the treatment. I drew CKR to all corners of the hospital room to diminish negative hospital energies, and speed up and amplify the healing. He told me that he was already having cough from the hospital's ventilation and he was not allowed by the nurses to get out of his room to grasp a breathe of fresh air. The SHK drawn on the center of his hospital bed allowing the symbol to restore balance on his health and harmonize all body systems to work properly for his speedy recovery. The HSZSN to facilitate continuous Reiki healing until his full recovery even our Reiki treatment is finished in the hospital.
The next day December 27, I sent him a message and asked him how he has been doing. He replied that the fever was gone and he slept for long hours! His sleep before in the hospital from the day of his confinement was just for few hours. Reiki indeed was continually doing its work to fully heal and recover his body from sickness through long hours of sleep! And he believed that Reiki really made an great impact for his recovery.
On the 28th day of December, he was given a clearance from his doctor for his hospital discharge and he was very happy then to go home and celebrate the new year with his family. I sent him a message at that day asking him how he has been and his reply was he's experiencing sleepiness and still, Reiki is still continually doing its work for his full recovery. On the 29th, he told me he was having grocery with his sister to prepare for new year's day eve dinner. I was happy and grateful that he is now doing well.
This experience was one of the memorable Reiki healing experiences I had aside from healing my sister everyday from her breast cancer last year, that even the doctor was surprised that the lump from her breast was getting small in a fast rate!
Reiki is indeed a blessing, a gift and a special grace for everyone. May this gift be treasured for the benefit of good health, restoring balance and facilitating peace and harmony.
Thank you for reading and
Blessings be to all!
